The University seeks applications and expressions of interest for the role of Associate Vice-President (Institutional Research and Planning). Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) and leading a staff of 23, the Associate Vice-President will provide high quality, strategic, and quantitative analysis and support for institutional planning and decision-making in a range of areas, including budget, strategic enrolment management, program evaluation, resource planning, and the development of key performance indicators. The office is the analytic and strategic engine of the University, facilitating informed, transparent, and data-driven decision-making, and ensuring that the University of Guelph is enhancing its competitive market position and its overall performance within the broader university system.
The new Associate Vice-President will possess executive-level skills, ideally with a strong background in data analysis, reporting, strategic planning, performance management, institutional budgeting, and policy development. A sophisticated understanding of university administration and policy informing post-secondary education will be critical. The University is well-known for its highly collegial nature, and the new Associate Vice-President will bring excellent interpersonal skills, and a track record of working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues to deliver valuable data and analysis for proactive decision-making and planning across several portfolios.
